Local Mission

As Jesus said, From everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required (Luke 12:48). God calls us to mission work wherever there is need. It is the responsibility of the Local Mission committee to address the needs of Boyle County residents which is accomplished through a variety of ministries, including:

Showers of Blessings

Four to five times a year, our church collects much-needed items for an organization that is serving the Boyle County community. These items are collected in the designated boxes in the Fellowship Hall. Past recipients have included: Harvesting Hope, the Salvation Army, Wilderness Trace Childhood Development Center, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), Sunrise Children's Home, and more.

Contact any member of the Local Mission committee if you have suggestions of an agency to receive these "blessings."

Visit Fellowship Hall to bring your donations!

Arnold Tower Dinners

Each month the church hosts a dinner for senior citizen residents at Arnold Tower to share in food and fellowship.

Here are some recipes that are favorites!

Amish Green Bean Casserole

Piquant Meat Loaf

Lemon Jello Salad

Salvation Army

During the Christmas season, our congregation raises money for the Salvation Army by serving as bell ringers at kettle stations, and providing gifts for the "Forgotten Angels" of the Angel Tree Program.

Cents-Ability Offering

On the second Sunday of every month, an offering is collected at the 8:30 AM worship, and the children of our church take up a collection of loose change during the 11:00 AM worship. A joint local and world mission project, all of the money collected feeds hungry people in our community and around the world.
